External, pressurized barrier liquid system is used to feed clean liquid to the double system external seal. Circulation is maintained by an external pump or pressure system. Barrier liquid pressure (in the system) is higher than the sealed process (technological) pressure. Characteristics of the barrier liquid should be defined, to keep the operating conditions of the slide ring faces of the seal stable. The solution typical for double seals with barrier liquid.
